Ever shown up to a Disney park with that sinking feeling you forgot something crucial? Fear not, fellow adventurer! Whether you're a seasoned park pro or a first-timer with pixie dust in your eyes, packing the right essentials can make your Disney day magical (and avoid any meltdowns). Today, we're diving deep into your Disney park bag must-haves, from the practical necessities to those little extras that elevate your experience. So, grab your Mickey ears, pack your bags, and get ready to conquer the parks with confidence – and a sprinkle of Disney magic!

THE MUST HAVES

  1. Phone: For capturing all those unforgettable memories, looking at the park map for navigation and snagging some Genie+ Lightning Lanes.

  2. Portable Charger: Keep the magic powered all day long without having to stop to find a phone charging station.

  3. Reusable Water Bottle: Stay hydrated and save money on park beverages. Florida water is not known for its amazing taste so I love to pop some Liquid IV’s into my bag too.

  4. Wallet: with ID, Credit Card and Cash: If you want to purchase a spirited drink or to make a quick purchase if you aren’t using a magic band.

THE WEATHER ITEMS

  1. Sunglasses: Nothing gives me a headache faster than squinting all day, so remember those sunnies and maybe even bring two pair in case you misplace one.

  2. Poncho: Pop-up rain storms are super common for a Florida afternoon. Ponchos are what I like to bring, but you could also pack a lightweight rain jacket or compact umbrella.

  3. Hat: Florida sun is hot and even though I bring sunglasses I like to have the option of a hat too and I’ve even worn both at the same time.

  4. Cooling Towel: The heat is no joke in Florida, especially if you are going in the summer or are from the Northeast, like me. Cooling towels are my lifesaver, but others prefer a neck fan or misting fan.

THE PERSONAL CARE STUFF

  1. Wet Wipes: A lifesaver after enjoying a Mickey ice cream bar! They are also great for wiping down a table before you eat, messy spills, or refreshing on the go.

  2. Anti-Chafing Balm: Beat the heat rash with a little anti-chafing balm. Especially helpful for long hot days when you are clocking 20,000+ steps.

  3. Sunscreen & SPF Lip Balm: Shield yourself from the Florida sun with a high-quality broad-spectrum sunscreen and SPF lip balm.

  4. Hand Sanitizer: Stay clean and healthy with a handy bottle of hand sanitizer. I like the spray versions. These are perfect after rides or using restrooms.

THE EXTRAS

  1. Bandaids: Be prepared for any unexpected blisters or scrapes – a lifesaver for long park days! Although all of the parks have First Aid areas, if the scrape is minor, you don’t want to take time out of your park day in search of a bandaid.

  2. Ziplock Baggies: These are perfect for storing half eaten snacks, wet clothes or protecting your phone on rides where you might get wet!

  3. Snacks: Pack some healthy protein forward snacks to keep your energy levels up between meals. These are also great while you are standing in line and save you a bit of money.

  4. Disney Trading Pins: Get ready to trade for fun and unique Disney pins! It’s a cool way to interact with Cast Members and fellow Disney people!Bonus Tip! If you aren’t a fan of paper straws, pack a reusable straw to reduce waste and stay eco-friendly!
